To investigate knowledge about risk and protective factors of online gambling, a systematic literature search was performed in three academic databases: PubMed, PsychInfo, and Scopus. The search was limited to peer-reviewed articles. The research design was PICO (Population Intervention Comparison Outcome) and included only studies on adult online gamblers. The searches were conducted in the English language and included the keywords “online gambling” or “online gambling addiction”.
